Oddette completed her BCompt degree and SAICA training contract in 2001 at Chris de Jager and Partners, which later became BGR De Jager Boshoff. After that she worked at Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd in London for two and a half years as an internal auditor. She particularly focused on the audit of the supply chain contracts of the group as well as the implementation of financial systems at new depots across Britain. She returned to BGR De Jager Boshoff during 2004 as manager, and subsequently became director of BGR De Jager Boshoff Professional Accountants.
During March 2014 BGR De Jager Boshoff Professional Accountants transformed into Unik Professional Services, of which she was the managing director. As the company evolved into Unik Group of Companies, consisting of various entities, she became Group Director.

Oddette is a Professional Accountant (SA) and Associate General Accountant (SA). She is also a qualified Black Economic Empowerment consultant. She completed her Higher Diploma in Taxation in 2013 and was awarded the degree LLM (International Tax) Cum Laude in 2015. She is a registered Master Tax Practitioner at the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners (SAIT), as well as a member of FISA.

Her areas of interest are all aspects of accounting, tax, trusts, estate planning and administration, as well as business management.
